TEXTILE ARCHITECTURE
High Performance in Lightweight Architecture
ABOUT
At Marina Coating we have extensive experience in the manufacture of technical textiles that allows us to venture into the Textile Architecture segment.
Our architectural membranes are technical fabrics of high tenacity polyester fiber coated by impregnation with virgin polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins.
HIGH RESISTANCE TO TENSILE AND TEARING FORCES
Due to their manufacture with Panama textile ligaments (double yarns in warp and weft) and Taffeta that differ in quantity and yarn count according to the user’s needs for mechanical strength and grammage.
HETEROGENEOUS ELONGATION (WARP / WEFT)
It allows the development of better defined designs along with a convenient distribution of biaxial stress.
RESISTANT TO WEATHERING
Thanks to its finishing process by impregnation of plastisols (Coating knife over roll).
Benefits
The valleys and ridges of the textile structure are intimately impregnated with the PVC polymer, achieving bond strength resulting in a unique element, which acquires the benefits of the coating and the base fabric
TOP COAT & UV
In order to give the membrane longevity, a final lacquering of micrometric thickness is applied which encapsulates both sides, isolating them from the effects of environmental pollution. This lacquering also facilitates the maintenance work. Marina Coating offers two options with different characteristics.
In addition to the above, the appearance and mechanical conditions of the PVC coating are protected with an ultraviolet radiation absorbing additive.
No MOISTURE ABSORPTION
Our fabric is able to stop the adhesion and absorption of water, thus preventing penetration and the formation of spots by bacteria inside the membrane.
“ON LINE” TRANSLUCENCY CONTROL
Exclusive of Marina Coating allows to have a control of the optical transmittance meter by meter, batch to batch.
COLOR LAB
We provide our “Color LAB” for matching institutional colors or to extend the aesthetics of your designs (subject to a minimum production batch).
FIRE RETARDANTS
Fire retardants comply with the criteria established in the NFPA 701 method 2 and NMX A 190/2 INNTEX standards.
